LoZ Final Fantasy AU Silent Vessel Warrior Link

In celebration of the release of Breath of the Wild on Friday, I doodled this tonight at work. Have been wanting to draw something of this caliber for awhile in regards to Link and Zelda. They would truly fit right into Square Enix and their various Final Fantasy worlds.

For the story behind this alternate Link, he is a mute fighter that was raised in isolation outside of a broken down village that was overtaken by nature long ago. No one is aware of why he was living there or how he even came to be there, but the Mogglori and the Faeri have claimed him as one of theirs. Their powerful Dekai home tree encompasses the center of the village and has helped the young man live and learn to survive. Venturing out however at the request of Dekai, he meets the striking Zel, a remnant of the Wingaru warriors, or so she claims. She also claims to know who he is and why he cannot speak. She believed him to be summoned to her through her goddess Hilia, unable to speak as a silent carrier of the virtuous crystal of Courage. He could only agree to her story for the time being, unable to deny nor accept it. He wanted to learn more about her tale however, so he leaves with her after Dekai releases him and they journey on to find the shattered fragments of the tainted Wisdom and Power Crystals.
